Luke 14:7-14

“Faith Does Not Show Partiality”

James 2:1-13

6:00 PM at Morton Avenue

Join us for our study in the book of Malachi.

Men’s Conference:  Calvary Chapel Orrington will be holding their annual men’s conference on September 27th with doors opening at 8:00 AM.  See Pastor Dave if you would like to carpool. You can register at ccbangor.org.

Fall Ladies “Leaf Peeping” Drive to Greenville:   Sat. Sept. 27th meeting in Guilford @ Rite Aid @ 8:30 a.m. to carpool to Greenville.  We will be having breakfast in Greenville so be sure to sign up for this event on the snack table so we will have a head count.  See Michelle for more information.

Sunday Children’s Ministry:  We offer two Sunday school classes for children ages 4 to 7 and ages 8 to 12.  Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church.  The sign-in form is located on the resource table.  Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship.  Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service.  Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service so teachers can begin cleaning up their classrooms.

Nursery:  For the safety of our children, we ask that only parents with children in nursery or the 4-7 year old class and nursery workers enter the nursery area.  Other children will no longer be allowed to play in the nursery area before & after church.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Ladies Bible Study: Our ladies study will resume September 9th.  Betty Ann Homchuck will be leading a study on “Spiritual Warfare” by Dr. David Jeremiah the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month from noon to 1:00 PM here at church.  Please see Tami Ogden if you would like to order a study guide. There will be a Grandmother’s In Prayer group meeting directly after the Bible study for those who would like to stay from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Fall Moms In Prayer: School is back in full-swing and now is the time to gather together in prayer for our children and schools. Come experience God’s peace and hope when you pray alongside other women.  Moms in Prayer International gathers moms, grandmas, teachers, and concerned women together to pray for God to transform our children and schools.  Won’t you join with us in prayer for this next generation?  Please contact Michelle Homchuck (717-4922) if you are interested in joining or starting a MIPI group.  We will be meeting each Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM with prayer starting promptly at 6:15 PM (until 7:15).  MIPI meetings will normally be at the home of Michelle Homchuck (717-4922).  www.MomsInPrayer.org

Minimizing Distractions: To the extent possible, please stay seated once the teaching begins; and please turn off or silence all communication devices.

Free Will Offerings:  We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10)

Thank You!  Thanks to those who have helped so far by bringing in coffee, children’s snacks, or paper products.  These are a great help to the church!  Snacks are always appreciated on the snack table or for Sunday School.  Current needs include:

  • Sunday School snacks (Chex cereal, cheese crackers, gluten & dairy-free snacks)

  • Paper cold cups and coffee cups

  • Paper towels

  • Dish and hand soaps

  • Sugar and liquid coffee creamer

  • Copier Paper

The set list will appear here weekly with the announcements.  Please note that we are blessed to have a worship team that seeks the Holy Spirit in leading us in worship, and therefore, this list is subject to His changes.  The number next to each song is the CCLI number.  You can visit CCLI’s Song Select site for more information on each of these songs.
