ANNOUNCEMENTS

Operation Christmas Child: Monthly collection items for the month of September: school supplies, cups, hygiene products, washcloths; October: toys, flashlights, batteries.  Any and all donations are gladly accepted, but please no candy or toothpaste.  Shipping is $9/box. Community Packing Party 11/10 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.  Church Packing Party after the AM service on 11/11. Collection week 11/12 - 11/19.  FMI see Chanda Gould.


Men’s Breakfast:  Join us the third Saturday each month at 7:30 AM.


Young Women’s Study:  Alaina Reardon is offering a young women’s study for ages 12 to 15 weekly at the Dover-Foxcroft Dunkin Donuts on Saturdays at 10:15 AM.


Far Above Rubies:  We will continue our Far Above Rubies study, demos and ladies breakfast on the first Saturday of each month, beginning October 6th from 8:30 to 11:00 AM.  This is for all women (middle school and up). New women are encouraged to attend. Please see Tami Ogden by September 23rd if you need to order a book or workbook for the study.


Fall Family Fun Night:  Today there will be a potluck lunch followed by a prayer and planning time after church to prepare for our Fall Family Fun Night.  


Ladies Bible Study and Moms in Prayer International: We will begin our study on “The Prayers of the Bible”, taught by Betty Ann Homchuck, on Tuesday, October 9th and will continue on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at noon. Moms in Prayer will follow from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.  


Mom’s In Prayer International:  There will be a Moms in Prayer group meeting the 2nd and 4th Fridays from 8 to 9 AM.  

Baby Shower for Amanda Ober:  Please join us for lunch and a baby shower on Sunday, October 21st at noon.  


Children’s Ministry Snacks: Donations of foods such as popcorn, graham crackers, and animal crackers are always appreciated.


Teen Youth Group:  Teens from ages 13-19 are invited each Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  These events will be held in the backyard of BettyAnn Homchuck’s residence until the fall at which time we will be meeting at the church. For more information, see Rachel.

Home Bible Study:  Tuesdays at 6:30 PM at the home of Ray & Betty Beless


The Cure from Addiction Meetings: Will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 PM.


Bible Study on Thursdays @ 6:00 PM:  We are studying on the topic of Grace for the summer.


Calvary Highlanders:  The Calvary Highlanders (Royal Rangers) meets Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.  This program is for boys in grades K-12. If you would like to help sponsor a Calvary Highlander please see Andy Torbett.  Please prayerfully consider sponsoring a participant; snacks for Thursday evening meetings are always welcome, as well!

Praying for Your Adult Children Prayer Group:  This weekly prayer time is now taking place in Milo on Friday nights at 6:30 to 8:00 PM.  Please see or call Melissa Preble at 207-631-4947 for more details.

Sunday Children’s Ministry:  We offer two Sunday school classes for children ages 4-7 and ages 8-11.  Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church.  Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship.  Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service.  Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service.  For the safety of our children, we ask that only parents with children in nursery or the 4-7 year old class and nursery workers enter the nursery area.  


Pleasant Meadows Ministry: Please join us as at 12:30 PM on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month as we lead a service at Pleasant Meadows.


Minimizing Distractions: To the extent possible, please stay seated once the teaching begins; and please turn off or silence all communication devices.  Coffee and snacks will no longer be available during the service.


Free Will Offerings:  We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10)

We Believe

The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.


That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.


In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless blood, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.


That the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.


In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.


In the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation.


In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
