Join us for “What God has Joined Together”: an eight-week course to strengthen your marriage against our enemies attacks.


Operation Christmas Child: Shoebox packing party on Saturday, October 14th for all who are interested with potluck breakfast at 9:00 followed by shoebox packing at 10:00. Feel free to invite other churches and community members to join us.  There will be an additional shoebox packing party on Sunday, November 12th after church.  Also, Anglers restaurants in Newport, Hampden and Searsport will be contributing 10% of their proceeds to OCC on Monday, September 11th from 4:00-8:00 PM.

Anger Management Group:  Jerry Scott will be offering an anger management group for men on Saturday mornings at 8:30 AM

Men’s Breakfast:  Next Saturday, September 16th at 7:30 AM.  Please bring a breakfast item to share.

The Cure from Addiction meetings will resume Tuesday night ,October 3rd at 6:00 P.M. And will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Royal Ranger Hike into Debsconeag Ice Cave Saturday:  September 16th following men’s breakfast.  Permission slips need to be signed and returned by this Thursday.  We will be leaving from church directly after the men’s breakfast.  Pack a lunch and water.  See Commander Andy FMI.

Ladies Fall Outing:  Join us Saturday, September 30th at 8:00 AM in the IGA parking lot in Guilford and travel together for breakfast at “Pete’s Place” in quaint Monson, Maine.  We will be visiting some of the local shops in Abbot and Monson and catching views of the fall foliage around Lake Hebron.  Weather permitting there will be a hike into Little Wilson Falls while others may drive on to Greenville to visit the downtown area and Moosehead Lake.  Please sign up at the snack table if you’d like to go so we can make reservations for breakfast.

Serving Opportunities:  There is an immediate need for volunteers in the nursery, Sunday School, cleaning and Security.  Please see David or Michelle.

Marriage Strengthening Series “What God Has Joined Together”: Thursday evenings at 6 pm for 8 weeks.  Childcare is available.  Books for the class are now available for $10, please see Tami Ogden.

Calvary Highlanders:  The Calvary Highlanders (Royal Rangers) will meet Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.  This program is for boys in grades K-12.  If you would like to help sponsor a Calvary Highlander please see Andy Torbett.  Please prayerfully consider sponsoring a participant; snacks for Thursday evening meetings are always welcome, as well!

First Step Pregnancy Resource Center:  Currently they are collecting newborn clothes (especially boys), newborn and size one diapers, wipes and bibs.  See Nan Redmond for more information.

Grief Care:

Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study:  Third Saturday each month at 7:30 AM

Thank You!  Thanks to those who have helped so far by bringing in coffee, children’s snacks, or paper products.  These are a great help to the church!  Snacks are always appreciated on the snack table or for Sunday School.  Current needs include:

  • Sunday School snacks (cheese crackers, graham crackers, fruit, pretzels, gluten & dairy-free snacks)

  • Liquid coffee creamer, half and half, water bottles

Praying for Your Adult Children Prayer Group:  This weekly prayer time is now taking place in Milo on Friday nights at 6:30 to 8:00 PM.  Please see or call Melissa Preble at 207-631-4947 for more details.

Sunday Children’s Ministry:  We offer two Sunday school classes for children ages 4-7 and ages 8-11.  Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church.  Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship.  Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service.  Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service.  For the safety of our children, we ask that only parents with children in nursery or the 4-7 year old class and nursery workers enter the nursery area.  

Pleasant Meadows Ministry: Please join us as at 12:30 PM on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month as we lead a service at Pleasant Meadows.

Minimizing Distractions: To the extent possible, please stay seated once the teaching begins; and please turn off or silence all communication devices.  Coffee and snacks will no longer be available during the service.

Free Will Offerings:  We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10)

We Believe

The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.

That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless blood, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.

That the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
