Not that I speak in regard to need for I have learned in whatever state I am to be content.  Philippians 4:11

“Godly Contentment”

I Timothy 6

During the winter months we are offering a time after our Sunday morning service for a fellowship meal, open Bible study discussion, instructional videos on location in Israel, and game time for children and families. Please plan to join us by preparing a meal ahead of time to share, and enjoy getting to know your church family better.

6:00 PM at Morton Avenue

Join us for our study in the book of Micah

Ladies Breakfast at Calvary Chapel Kennebec Valley:  Join us in Fairfield on Saturday, April 12th at 9:00 AM for the next ladies breakfast.  Michelle will be sharing a message with the ladies.  If you would like to drive down together, talk to Michelle.

Messianic Passover Meal:  Please join us Sunday, April 13th for a special Christ in the Passover message and meal.   We will be going through a Passover Seder during the morning service followed by a Passover meal directly after the service.  If you would like to attend the meal, there will be a sign-up for food & some Passover recipes on the snack table.

Moms-In-Prayer:  We will be meeting regularly on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays each month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with prayer starting promptly at 6:15 PM (until 7:15).  All MIP meetings will normally be at the home of BettyAnn Homchuck.

Ladies’ Ephesians Study:  We will be meeting the second and fourth Tuesdays each month from noon to 1:00 PM.

Thank You!  Thanks to those who have helped so far by bringing in coffee, children’s snacks, or paper products.  These are a great help to the church!   Please continue to bring in your own travel mugs, plates, utensils, etc.  Snacks are always appreciated on the snack table or for Sunday School.  Current needs include:

  • Communion bread (Matza)

  • Sunday School snacks (Chex cereal, cheese crackers, etc.)

  • Paper cold cups and coffee cups--all set on lids (sold at Sam’s Club)

Creation Ministries International Speaker:  Please mark your calendars and invite others to join us Sunday, April 27th at 6:00 PM.  Scott Gillis speaking on Creation: Impacting our Culture.

Sunday Children’s Ministry:  We now offer two Sunday School classes for children ages 4 to 7 and ages 8 to 12.  Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church.  The sign-in form is located on the resource table.  Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship.  Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service.  Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service so teachers can begin cleaning up their classrooms.

Hospital Chaplaincy Service: The Hospital Chaplaincy is in desperate need of all the comfort items they provide to over 15,000 residents in assisted living, long-term care, rehabilitation and boarding facilities of Maine.  If you are able to make any of these hand sewn, knitted or crochet items, you can see Hallie Downing for a list and patterns.  These simple gifts make a huge difference in the lives of the residents.  Thank you!

God’s Not Dead!  This is an amazing Christian film you will especially want to let teens know about.  Check out the trailer at godsnotdeadthemovie.com.  We are still waiting to see if it will be coming to the Center Theatre.  Continue to join us in prayer for the impact God’s Not Dead the movie will have in people's lives.

Minimizing Distractions: To the extent possible, please stay seated once the teaching begins; and please turn off or silence all communication devices.

Free Will Offerings:  We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10)
