Free Showing of 8 Days at the Centre Theater on Sunday, March 20th at 3:00 PM: We have been invited to a free showing of “8 Days”, a gritty, raw movie based on the true story of a 16 year old girl from an ordinary family caught in human trafficking. The movie is meant to help bring understanding to this brutal form of modern slavery. This is a key cultural issue which is even happening right here in central Maine. This is a PG-13 movie, and because of its content is not intended for children younger than 13. The movie has been paid for by the Church of the Open Bible but any donations will go to support two ministries that are helping victims of sex slavery. For more information contact Emmy Young at 564-3372. Missions Please continue to uplift in prayer the missions and families we support:
Weekly Home Fellowship: Ray and Betty Beless host a weekly Bible Study every Tuesday night at 6:30 PM in their home on Mayo Street. Please call 207-564-3459. Sunday Children’s Ministry: We offer two Sunday school classes for children ages 4-7 and ages 8 to 12. Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church. The sign-in form is located on the table by the auditorium doors. Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship. Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service. Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service so teachers can begin cleaning up their classrooms. Please note that the nursery and 4-7 year old class have been moved further down the hallway. For the safety of our children, we ask that only parents with children in nursery or the 4-7 year old class and nursery workers enter the nursery area. Other children will no longer be allowed to play in the nursery area before & after church. Thank you for your cooperation. Pleasant Meadows Ministry: Please join us as at 12:30 PM on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month as we lead a service at Pleasant Meadows. Minimizing Distractions: To the extent possible, please stay seated once the teaching begins; and please turn off or silence all communication devices. Free Will Offerings: We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10) WORSHIP SET LIST The set list will appear here weekly with the announcements. Please note that we are blessed to have a worship team that seeks the Holy Spirit in leading us in worship, and therefore, this list is subject to His changes. The number next to each song is the CCLI number. You can visit CCLI’s Song Select site for more information on each of these songs.
