ANNOUNCEMENTS

2014 Summer Family Retreat:  We will be at Peaks Kenny State Park July 17-21.  Please note that there will be no Thursday-evening service on the 17th and our Sunday-morning service will be at the park’s group shelter overlooking the beach.  Even if you are not camping with us, make a point to come and out visit.  There will be an opportunity to be baptized, and a picnic at the beach on Saturday.

New Podcast Page:  We moved our podcast page to a new host during this past week.  Only messages from this month are now available for listening and downloading.  

Attention Moms:  Do you worry about your children?  Come experience God’s peace and hope when you pray alongside other moms.  Moms in Prayer International gathers moms together to pray for God to transform our children and schools.  Won’t you join with us in prayer for this next generation?  Please contact Michelle Homchuck if you are interested in joining or starting an MIP group.  We will be meeting the 1st Tuesday evening of the month at 6:00 PM during the summer with prayer starting promptly at 6:15 PM (until 7:15).  MIP meetings will normally be at the home of Betty Ann Homchuck.  www.MomsInPrayer.org

Ladies’ Ephesians Study:  We will be meeting the second and fourth Tuesdays each month from noon to 1:00 PM.  

Sunday Children’s Ministry:  We now offer two Sunday School classes for children ages 4 to 7 and ages 8 to 12.  Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church.  The sign-in form is located on the resource table.  Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship.  Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service.  Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service so teachers can begin cleaning up their classrooms.

Hospital Chaplaincy Service: The Hospital Chaplaincy is in desperate need of all the comfort items they provide to over 15,000 residents in assisted living, long-term care, rehabilitation and boarding facilities of Maine.  If you are able to make any of these hand sewn, knitted or crochet items, you can see Hallie Downing for a list and patterns.  These simple gifts make a huge difference in the lives of the residents.  Thank you!

Ramadan is June 28 - July 27:  Please pray that many Muslims will come to know Jesus.

Free Will Offerings:  We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10)
