Sunday Afternoon August 7th Fellowship:  John Johnston has invited our church family to gather at his home in Parkman after the morning service for a potluck meal and the opportunity to fellowship and swim in the pond.  Please bring a food dish to share.

Sunday Evening Prayer Time:  At the home of Betty Ann Homchuck for the summer months starting at 6:00 PM.  July 10th and 17th prayer will be at the home of Ray & Sally Landry.

Tuesday Night Community Board Gaming and Youth Group:  There’s lots going on at CCMH on Tuesday nights from 6:00 to 8:30 PM.  We offer a community board gaming group (all ages are welcome).  We have a supervised youth group with games, volleyball, basketball and a devotional time taking place (ages 10 and up).  During the summer we will be meeting at Betty Ann Homchuck’s (281 Wharff Road, Guilford) unless it is rainy.  For more information, talk to the Homchucks, Jim Reardon or Ray Landry.

The Cure Conference: Saturday, August 6th, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Orrington featuring  biblical, truth-based solutions for addictions.  We will be providing information to help educate families and addicts about Residential Discipleship Ministry.  Keynote Speakers will be: Ryan Houssien, CC Sweet Hills, and Ken Pounders, Priority Evangelism, as well as testimonies from men and women about how the One Step Program - Jesus Christ, has changed their lives.  This is a FREE event.  No childcare provided.  FMI: 207-991-9555

The Cure for Addiction Weekly Meeting:  Thursdays at 6:00 PM at Calvary Chapel in Orrington.  Meetings are open to the public with childcare provided.  The Cure also provides family support groups for all those who have a loved one struggling with addiction.  Call 207-991-9555 for more information or transportation.

3rd Annual Safe Families of Maine Yard Sale:  Friday & Saturday, August 26 - 27th at Old Town Christian Fellowship.  Please bring in your “gently used” donations and Jen & Marc Dill can make sure they get to the Warmans weekly (or coordinate to get larger items).  Contact Jen at jendill78@gmail.com.  If you would like to volunteer to help, contact Betsy Braley at 210-0301.

Moms in Prayer International:  Our Tuesday evening MIPI group will not be meeting during the summer.

Decision America Tour:  Join Franklin Graham on Tuesday, August 23 at 12:00 PM in the Legislature’s Capitol Park in Augusta, Maine as Christians all across Maine gather to pray for our nation and Franklin also shares the gospel.

Thank You!  Thanks to those who have helped so far by bringing in coffee, children’s snacks, or paper products.  These are a great help to the church!  Snacks are always appreciated on the snack table or for Sunday School.  Current needs include:

  • Sunday School snacks (cheese crackers, graham crackers, fruit, pretzels, gluten & dairy-free snacks)

  • Liquid coffee creamer, half and half, water bottles

Please continue to uplift in prayer the missions and families we support:

  • Michelle Bourgoin’s trip to China for six weeks (ESL teaching)

  • Rachel Homchuck’s CEF Mission trip to NYC (July 29th - Aug. 7th)

  • Blessed Hope and Seven Oaks Residential Discipleship Ministries

  • Donna Woerter of Child Evangelism Fellowship Southern Maine

  • Compassion International

  • Mike and Margaret Warman of Safe Families

  • Weekly Saturday meal distribution to homeless in downtown Bangor

Weekly Home Fellowship:  Ray and Betty Beless host a weekly Bible Study every Tuesday night at 6:30 PM in their home on Mayo Street. Please call 207-564-3459.

Sunday Children’s Ministry:  We offer two Sunday school classes for children ages 4-7 and ages 8 to 12.  Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church.  Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship.  Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service.  Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service.  For the safety of our children, we ask that only parents with children in nursery or the 4-7 year old class and nursery workers enter the nursery area.

Pleasant Meadows Ministry: Please join us as at 12:30 PM on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month as we lead a service at Pleasant Meadows.

Minimizing Distractions: To the extent possible, please stay seated once the teaching begins; and please turn off or silence all communication devices.

Free Will Offerings:  We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10)

The set list will appear here weekly with the announcements.  Please note that we are blessed to have a worship team that seeks the Holy Spirit in leading us in worship, and therefore, this list is subject to His changes.  The number next to each song is the CCLI number.  You can visit CCLI’s Song Select site for more information on each of these songs.
