READING SUNDAY AM MESSAGE: “Characteristics of Godly Leadership” SUNDAY AM MESSAGE TEXT I Timothy 3:1-7 SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP During the winter months we are offering a time after our Sunday morning service for a fellowship meal, open Bible study discussion, instructional videos on location in Israel, and game time for children and families. Please plan to join us by preparing a meal ahead of time to share, and enjoy getting to know your church family better. THURSDAY EVENING 6:00 PM at Morton Avenue Join us for our study in the book of Micah ANNOUNCEMENTS Offering Envelopes: There are offering envelopes now available at the offering box. In order to receive an annual donor letter for tax purposes, include your name and mailing address on the first envelope and simply your name on subsequent envelopes. These are completely optional and provided solely as a convenience. 2014 Summer Family Retreat: We’ll be camping and hanging out at Peaks Kenny again this year! Plan to join us July 17-21. If you’d like to reserve a campsite, reservations are available starting tomorrow, February 10, 2014 at 9:00 AM. Reserve early--to be sure you have a campsite near the group, reserving on the morning of February 10th is important. Visit our homepage for more information. Storm Cancellations: Should any Calvary Chapel Maine Highlands service or event be cancelled, an announcement of the cancellation will be broadcast on WJCX 99.5 FM and WLBZ-2. The cancellation announcement will also be posted to the church homepage and church Twitter account (@ccmhtweet). Moms-In-Prayer: We will be meeting regularly on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays each month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with prayer starting promptly at 6:15 PM (until 7:15). All MIP meetings will normally be at the home of BettyAnn Homchuck. Ladies’ Ephesians Study: We will be meeting the second and fourth Tuesdays each month from noon to 1:00 PM. Bring in your old eyeglasses: If you have old eyeglassses you don’t need bring them to church and they will be given to EPI ministry to re-distribute on a missions trip. Thank you! Thank You! Thanks to those who have helped so far by bringing in coffee, children’s snacks, or paper products. These are a great help to the church! We will post monthly what our current needs are so that you will know what to bring in. Currently we are need of Matzo bread, grape juice, and communion cups for communion (sold at Christianbook.com). Please continue to bring in your own plates etc. for church dinners and travel mugs for coffee if possible. Snacks are always appreciated on the snack table or for Sunday School! Ladies Winter Retreat: We will be having a mini-retreat weekend February 21-22 in Ripley. The cost is $20 per person (please give to Tami Ogden), and overnight accommodations are limited to 17. However, you may come to all events and opt not stay overnight. The Center Theatre is trying to bring the new movie God’s Not Dead to town for the opening March 21st. This is an amazing Christian film you will especially want to let teens know about. Check out the trailer at godsnotdeadthemovie.com. Get the word out to others: let’s support this film locally so that more great films will come to our area! Sunday Children’s Ministry: We now offer two Sunday School classes for children ages 4 to 7 and ages 8 to 12. Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church. The sign-in form is located on the resource table. Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship. Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service. Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service so teachers can begin cleaning up their classrooms. Thank You! Hospital Chaplaincy Service: The Hospital Chaplaincy is in desperate need of all the comfort items they provide to over 15,000 residents in assisted living, long-term care, rehabilitation and boarding facilities of Maine. If you are able to make any of these hand sewn, knitted or crochet items, you can see Hallie Downing for a list and patterns. These simple gifts make a huge difference in the lives of the residents.
