Ray and Betty Beless host a weekly Bible Study every Tuesday night at 6:30 PM in their home on Mayo Street. Please call 207-564-3459.

The War Room Film: The Center Theatre in Dover-Foxcroft is making an effort to present The War Room from August 28th to September 3rd. This powerful new Christian film by the makers of Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and Courageous is inspiring Christians to prayer.   The theater has to assure the filmmakers that at least 750 attendees will come to the showings.  To help with this process, please consider calling the Center Theatre at 564-8943 or emailing Patrick Meyers at pmyers@centertheatre.org to let them know that you plan to support this film by attending a showing.  Ticket costs: matinees $4.00 and evenings $6.00 with students and seniors at $5.00.  If you or someone you know would like to attend the film because of the cost, please let Michelle know as there has been a donation to help support this event.  Moms in Prayer International will be having  an information table with free literature at the showings. Please see Michelle for more information about how you can help bring this important movie to Dover-Foxcroft, about showing times, or about helping with the information table.

Men’s Breakfast:  There will be a men’s breakfast on August 22nd starting at 7:30 AM at the Homchuck’s.

Family Fun Day:  The Living Word Assembly of God is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 22nd from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM..  There will be free food, free school supplies and games for the whole family. If you would like to donate any school supplies, you may drop them off at the Living Word AG church, any of the local grocery stores, Dave’s World or Modern Image Salon.

Sunday Evening Prayer Time: 6:00 PM on August 23rd at the home of Ray & Sally Landry

Sunday Children’s Ministry:  We offer two Sunday school classes for children ages 4 to 7 and ages 8 to 12.  Don’t forget to sign your child(ren) in before church.  The sign-in form is located on the resource table.  Both groups will be dismissed to their classes after worship.  Nursery is available for infants through age 3 during the entire service.  Please pick up your children from Sunday School/Nursery as soon as possible after the service so teachers can begin cleaning up their classrooms.

Nursery:  For the safety of our children, we ask that only parents with children in nursery or the 4-7 year old class and nursery workers enter the nursery area.  Other children will no longer be allowed to play in the nursery area before & after church.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Pleasant Meadows Ministry: Please join us as at 12:30 PM on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month as we lead a service at Pleasant Meadows.

Minimizing Distractions: To the extent possible, please stay seated once the teaching begins; and please turn off or silence all communication devices.

Free Will Offerings:  We do not pass an offering plate during our services, but encourage all who attend regularly “whose hearts are stirred and everyone whose spirit is willing” to place your offerings in the walnut box on the back table. (Exodus 35:21; Malachi 3:10)

Thank You!  Thanks to those who have helped so far by bringing in coffee, children’s snacks, or paper products.  These are a great help to the church!  Snacks are always appreciated on the snack table or for Sunday School.  Current needs include:

  • Sunday School snacks (Chex cereal, cheese crackers, gluten & dairy-free snacks)

  • Liquid coffee creamer & coffee stirrers
