Today’s Scripture Reading: Psalms 127 & 128

Today’s Message: Genesis 28:10 - 30:24 “Divine Appointments & Earthly Disappointments”

Tonight: Bible Study (Psalm 32) & Prayer

Thursday Night:
Book of Jeremiah

Donation Opportunity: Snacks for the nursery and Sunday School are in need of replenishing.  Containers of pretzels, goldfish, animal crackers, graham crackers, etc., and bottles of juice or cans of juice concentrate would be greatly appreciated.  If you would like to donate one or some of these items, please bring them to the Sunday School classroom.  Thank you so much for your generosity!

Pleasant Meadows Outreach:
Please join us as we minister today at 12:30 p.m. at Pleasant Meadows Assisted Living.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast:
7 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, at Morton.  Please invite someone, and bring a breakfast item to share.

Ladies’ Breakfast: On October 10 at 8 a.m. Sue Kasprzak will be here to share about her ministry with the First Step Pregnancy Resource Center. Please plan to attend and invite others.

Trained to Serve Discipleship Training: CD’s and notes will be available soon.  More details to come later.

Food Cupboard:
If anyone has any extra veggies in their gardens and wants to bless others, the food cupboard for the Dover-Foxcroft area is at the old Town Office building on East Main Street.  The food can be dropped off Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon for distribution on Thursday.  Just leave your donation inside the front entrance of the building if no one is there.  Distribution occurs every Thursday.

Troop Packages:
There is a donation box on the back table with a list of items needed by our troops.  We collect these items and send out packages on a quarterly basis.  If you have any questions, please see Tracy or Nan Redmond.

Ride Ministry:
We offer a ride ministry for church services for those with no vehicle, or for those experiencing vehicle troubles.  If you or someone you know would benefit from this, please see Kevin Bowden.

Missions: Our goals and ambitions for ministry in a foreign land seem lofty and beyond our ability.  Perhaps this is the posture God wants of us; we’ll at least know for sure that whatever progress occurs follows His might and accrues to His glory.

The question about future ministry still hovers over us.  But this much is clear:

the Bible commands us to go,
the field hopes we will come,
the figures show us the need,
the Spirit promises us the strength,
the Judgment means we must go.

An eternity will record our reply.
