Anyone interested in donating items or financially towards these shoeboxes should contact Kevin or Lisa Bowden as soon as possible. Youth Camping Trip: August 13-15th. This year's trip will include a visit to Fort Knox in Bucksport. The entire cost of the trip will be $20 per child. There are sign-up sheets on the back table. Please see Kevin or Lisa if you have any questions. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can donate or lend for the trip the following: walkie-talkies for youth leaders to use while in the Fort; 12 old "tire-swing" type tires; long rope; fabric pens, etc, for decorating flags; camouflage face paint. We are also looking for food donations (please see Nan or Tracy, who have Youth Retreat cooking duty). Petition Regarding Same-Sex Marriage Legislation: Lisa Bowden will be manning a table up back before and after the service to oversee signing of this petition, which will allow Maine voters to decide on the issue of legalizing same-sex marriage. The Constitution of the State of Maine affords Maine voters the opportunity to veto legislation, and in this case, an opportunity for believers to stand up for the Biblical definition of marriage between one man and one woman. Youth Group Fundraising: We are still collecting bottles and cans. Troop Packages: There is a list on the back table of items needed by our troops, as well as a box in which you can place your donated items. We will be collecting these items and sending out packages on a quarterly basis (the next one will be going out very shortly). If you have any questions, please see Tracy or Nan Redmond. Ride Ministry: We are now offering a ride ministry for church services for those with no vehicle, or for those experiencing vehicle troubles.
