Today’s Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3 /
Teaching:  “Man of the Word or Man of the World”

Tonight: Bible Study (Psalm 10) and Prayer

Thursday Night: Isaiah Study

2009 Summer Camping Retreat: This is the last day to hand in your registration forms and money to Erin Bridges for the July 10 - 12 camping retreat.

Ride Ministry: We are now offering a ride ministry for church services for those with no vehicle, or for those experiencing vehicle troubles.  If you or someone you know would benefit from this, please see Kevin Bowden.

Frank Runyeon: Will be at the Center Theatre on Saturday, February 7, at 7 p.m.  He performs one-man plays of Scripture and speaks with humor about his years in Hollywood.  Best known for starring opposite Meg Ryan on As The World Turns, Frank left Hollywood in the 90's to attend seminary. He now hopes to help his audience rediscover the power of the central stories of Scripture, and laugh (good-naturedly) at the way the media portrays the world. Tickets are $10.  Group rates are available, so if you are interested in attending, please let Tami Ogden know, and she will check with the Center Theatre to see how many constitute a group, and what those rates are.

Movie Night: The church will be having a movie night on Sunday, February 15, starting at 4:30 p.m., at Morton Avenue.  All are invited to come join us for some games, a nice dinner, and then a showing of the movie Fireproof.  This will be a time for singles, couples, and children.  Child-care will be provided, with the kids eating pizza, playing games, and watching a different movie.  Please see Michelle if you can help with decorating, setting up, games, food preparation, or helping with the children.

Church Sliding Party: On February 21 from 12 - 3 p.m. at the home of Bill and Jill Wentworth.  Those who want to can meet at the church at 11:30 and we can carpool or caravan to the Wentworths.  For those who cannot meet at the church, directions will be forthcoming.  No lunch will be provided, so you may wish to have an early lunch, or bring some snacks.

Calvary Chapel Central Maine Junior High Winter Camp: Will be held at Moose River Outpost in Jackman, Maine, from February 13 - 15, 2009.  The cost will be $100, which includes all camp fees, food, events, and transportation.  Please contact Calvary Chapel Central Maine directly at 991-9555 for more information.

Calvary Chapel Central Maine Senior High Winter Camp: Was postponed until March 6 - 8, 2009.  Please contact Calvary Chapel Central Maine directly at 991-9555 for more information.

Prayer Chain: Will be updated shortly.  If you would like to be included, please provide Tami or Michelle with your name and telephone number.

Shaw's Receipts: Thank you to everyone who has brought in these receipts for the First Step Pregnancy Resource Center.  Please continue to bring them in, as they are a valuable contribution to this agency, since one percent of the totals are donated to the Resource Center.

Donation Opportunity: The church will be doing some reorganizing to make our classroom a more functional and cozy space in which to meet.  If you would like to make a donation to this end, we will be in need of the following: floor or table lamps; end tables or coffee table; area rug; comfortable chairs or couch; electric griddle; electric teapot; paper towel holder; utensils container; and artificial floor plant or hanging plants.  Please see Michelle if you have any of these items you would like to provide.
